It ships with a 20 round magazine. This listing is UPC 680490947551, Black Rain item BRO-FALLOUT10-SI.

Black Rain Fallout 10 308 Win Overview

Black Rain Ordnance builds its rifles in Neosho, Missouri, and offers dozens of configurations and finishes across its rifle lines. The Fallout 10 is its AR-10 pattern rifle, built on billet receivers and chambered for full power cartridges like the 308 Winchester.

Receiver and Controls

The Fallout 10 receiver set is machined from 7075 T6 billet aluminum for a tight upper to lower fit. It is an AR-10 pattern rifle, larger than an AR-15, built to handle the 308 Winchester. The charge handle is a forged Spec 10 part and the flat top upper has a full length Picatinny rail.

Barrel and Gas System

The 18 inch 4150V chromoly barrel runs a direct impingement gas system with a .750 low profile non adjustable gas block. Black Rain uses a salt bath nitride coated Spec 10 bolt carrier group in this rifle, which runs cleaner and is easier to wipe down than a plain phosphate carrier. The muzzle wears a A2 flash hider, and a free float handguard keeps pressure off the barrel for better accuracy.

Handguard and Furniture

The 15 inch M-LOK hybrid free float handguard gives you M-LOK slots for a light, sling mount, bipod or grip. Furniture is a G.I. grip and a Luth-AR MBA-1 rifle stock, which adjusts for length of pull and cheek height. Black Rain notes that a Magpul MBUS Pro offset front sight may need modification to fit its slim handguards, so plan your backup sights accordingly.

Trigger

It has a mil-spec G.I. trigger, which is reliable and simple, with a heavier pull than an upgraded trigger. Because it uses the standard AR pattern, you can drop in an aftermarket trigger later if you want a lighter break.

The 308 Winchester

The 308 Winchester is a full power rifle cartridge, good for deer, elk and hogs and for long range target work out to several hundred yards. It recoils harder and costs more to shoot than 5.56, and AR-10 pattern magazines are not interchangeable with AR-15 magazines.

Uses

The Black Rain Fallout 10 308 Win fits deer, elk and hog hunting and long range target shooting. Add a red dot or a low power variable optic to the flat top upper and a weapon light on the M-LOK rail and it is ready for the range or the house.

Finish and Care

The hard coat anodized black finish is tough and non reflective. Clean the bolt carrier group and chamber every few hundred rounds, keep the BCG lightly oiled, and wipe the finish after handling.

State Laws

AR rifles and 20 round magazines are restricted or banned in some states, including California, New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Illinois, Washington and Colorado for magazines. Check your state and local laws before you buy. Pennsylvania buyers can transfer at our Collegeville shop or at any FFL.
