Description
The BioAmmo Rex Lead 12 GA 1 oz 8 Shot is the #8 shot version of BioAmmo Rex lead competition line, sold as part BR2880. It loads 1 ounce of #8 lead in a 2-3/4 inch shell with a plastic free, biodegradable hull and wad. The smaller shot builds a dense pattern for close targets. Each box holds 25 rounds.
Why Choose the BioAmmo Rex Lead 12 GA 1 oz 8 Shot
An 8 shot clay load places more pellets in the pattern than #7.5, which is why many shooters prefer it for skeet, where most targets break inside 25 yards, and for close sporting clays stations.
The 1 ounce payload keeps recoil comfortable through long practice sessions and full rounds, and it cycles well in most shotguns set up for target loads.
BioAmmo designs this as a compostable shotshell alternative, with a hull and wad intended to break down naturally instead of littering the range with plastic.
Using the BioAmmo Rex Lead 12 GA 1 oz 8 Shot
Pair #8 shot with skeet or improved cylinder chokes for skeet, and switch to #7.5 for trap or longer sporting presentations. Many shooters carry both sizes and choose by station.
Test light 1 ounce loads in your semi-auto before a match, since some new guns need break-in time with heavier shells.
This is a lead load, so check range rules on shot type. Store eco friendly skeet shells in a dry place, as biodegradable components are designed to break down when exposed to moisture over time.
Consistency matters more than any single shell feature on the clay field. Use the same load for practice and competition whenever you can, so your timing and lead pictures stay the same from week to week. Keep a simple log of scores, chokes and loads, and you will quickly see which combination works best for each discipline you shoot.
