Description
The Bergara B-14 Squared Crest 25 Creedmoor is a backcountry bolt-action rifle chambered in 25 Creedmoor, built around a 100 percent carbon fiber stock and a fluted steel barrel. This configuration (Bergara model B14S7515, UPC 043125001507) has a 20-inch threaded barrel with an Omni muzzle brake, a Sniper Gray Cerakote finish and a detachable AICS-style magazine, and it weighs about 6.8 pounds.
Bergara B-14 Squared Crest 25 Creedmoor Overview
Bergara designed the Squared line for hunters who want a premium rifle without a custom price tag. The Bergara B-14 Squared Crest 25 Creedmoor uses the proven B-14 action, which runs a two-lug bolt with a sliding extractor and a tapered bolt and breech for smooth feeding and extraction. The bolt is fluted to save weight, and the whole barreled action is finished in Sniper Gray Cerakote to resist rust and wear in wet country.
Monocoque Carbon Fiber Stock
The stock is made with CF-RTM technology, a process borrowed from aerospace and automotive work, where dry carbon fiber is laid by hand and injected with resin. An internal carbon spine adds rigidity from the grip to the fore-end, and length-of-pull spacers let you tailor the fit. The result is a carbon fiber stock that is light, stiff and tough enough for rough trips.
Fluted Barrel With Omni Muzzle Brake
The 20-inch barrel is 4140 chrome-moly steel, fluted to trim weight and speed cooling, with a Fast twist for long .257 bullets twist. The muzzle is threaded 5/8×24 and ships with Bergara’s Omni brake, which takes the edge off recoil so you can watch your shot land. Bergara’s barrel process is the reason the company backs these rifles with a sub-MOA accuracy guarantee.
Why the 25 Creedmoor
The 25 Creedmoor takes the efficient 6.5 Creedmoor case and necks it to fire high-BC .257 caliber bullets. It shoots flatter than the 6.5 Creedmoor with similar mild recoil, and it carries plenty of energy for deer, pronghorn and black bear at practical hunting distances.
Setup and Care
Mount a quality scope with solid rings on a short-action base, set eye relief with the stock spacers and zero at 100 yards. Record your drops at several distances with the load you plan to use, and practice from field positions as well as the bench. After a wet day, wipe the rifle down, run a dry patch through the bore and let it air out of the case overnight.

Before You Buy
A muzzle brake is loud, so wear quality hearing protection and warn anyone shooting beside you. The receiver is drilled and tapped, but no scope base or rings are included. The 25 Creedmoor is a newer chambering, so ammunition is not as widely stocked as 6.5 Creedmoor; plan on buying a supply with the rifle. Weight is estimated from other short-action Squared Crest models. Optics are not included, and all rifles ship to your local FFL dealer.
Who It Is For
The Bergara B-14 Squared Crest 25 Creedmoor is a strong pick for deer and pronghorn hunters who want a steady, accurate hunting rifle that shoots flat with mild recoil, and who also use it as a long-range varmint rifle in the off-season.
