Description
The Bergara Premier MgLite 22 Creedmoor is one of the lightest chassis rifles you can buy, pairing a Bergara Premier action and CURE carbon barrel with an XLR Element 4.0 magnesium folding chassis. This configuration (Bergara model BPR3722CM, UPC 043125220069) has a 20-inch threaded carbon barrel, Graphite Black Cerakote metal, a Burnt Bronze chassis with carbon fiber folding buttstock and grip, and an AICS-pattern detachable magazine.
Bergara Premier MgLite 22 Creedmoor Overview
Precision chassis rifles are usually heavy. The MgLite turns that around: the magnesium chassis system weighs just 28 ounces, so the complete rifle comes in around 6.5 pounds before optics. You get the adjustability, folding stock and Arca-Swiss forend of a match rifle in a lightweight hunting rifle you can carry into the backcountry, backed by a sub-MOA accuracy guarantee with quality factory ammunition.
CURE Carbon Barrel
Bergara solved the common problem of carbon barrels walking as they heat by managing heat between the steel liner and the carbon wrap. A patent-pending weave with embedded stainless strands moves heat away from the bore, so the CURE carbon barrel stays stiff, straight and consistent. The muzzle is threaded for a brake or suppressor.
XLR Element 4.0 Folding Chassis
The magnesium XLR Element 4.0 chassis has a carbon fiber folding buttstock and grip, a built-in bubble level and a machined 1.5-inch Arca-Swiss dovetail in the forend for tripods and bipods. Folding the stock shortens the rifle for packing, and the chassis gives you a repeatable, rock-solid action interface.
Flat-Shooting 22 Creedmoor
The 22 Creedmoor necks the 6.5 Creedmoor case down to fire long, high-BC .224 caliber bullets at very high velocity. It shoots remarkably flat with light recoil, making it a favorite for coyotes and other varmints at long range, and with heavy-for-caliber bullets many hunters also use it on deer-sized game where legal.
Premier Action and TriggerTech Trigger
The two-lug Premier action uses a floating bolt head, a coned bolt nose and a nitrided bolt head, gas shield and shroud, and it takes Remington 700 pattern scope bases with 8-40 screws. A TriggerTech trigger with Frictionless Release Technology gives a crisp break with no creep.
Setup and Optics
A lightweight 3-15x or 4-16x scope in quality low rings keeps the rifle balanced. Use the Arca rail for a tripod clamp or bipod, and zero at 100 yards before confirming drops at longer distances.
Practice in the Field
Practice from a tripod, from a pack and from sitting so the rifle feels steady in real field positions long before opening day.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Clean the bore with a quality copper solvent every few range sessions and after each hunt, wipe the bolt and lugs, and check the action screws and chassis hardware before every season.
Safe Storage at Home
Store the rifle unloaded in a locked safe or cabinet with ammunition kept separately, and teach everyone in the household basic safety rules.

Before You Buy
Weight is estimated from other MgLite models. A folding stock and Arca rail add versatility, but a rifle this light recoils more than a heavy chassis gun, especially in magnum chamberings. Optics are not included. Please check your state and local laws; all rifles ship to your local FFL dealer.
Who It Is For
The Bergara Premier MgLite 22 Creedmoor is a great fit for predator and varmint hunters who hike for their shots, and anyone who wants match-rifle features in a light package.
