Description
The Bergara Crest Carbon 7mm PRC pairs a full carbon fiber stock with a CURE carbon fiber barrel, giving hunters magnum reach without a magnum-weight rifle. This configuration (Bergara model B14LM7513CF, UPC 043125016662) is chambered in 7mm PRC with a 22-inch threaded barrel, a Sniper Gray Cerakote action and a black stock with gray sponge accents, and it weighs about 6.5 pounds before optics.
Bergara Crest Carbon 7mm PRC Overview
Bergara designed the Crest stock from the ground up in carbon fiber, with an internal carbon spine that adds rigidity where the action and barrel meet. The Bergara Crest Carbon 7mm PRC matches that stock with a CURE carbon barrel in a No. 6 taper, so the rifle stays stiff and accurate while trimming weight for steep country. Bergara backs the Crest line with a sub-MOA accuracy guarantee when used with quality factory ammunition.
Why the 7mm PRC Works Here
The 7mm PRC was designed around long, high-BC bullets and delivers a flat path with strong retained energy for elk, sheep and mule deer. It recoils noticeably less than a 300 magnum, which matters in a rifle this light. The 1:8 twist stabilizes heavy, sleek 7mm bullets, and the 22-inch carbon barrel keeps the rifle maneuverable in timber and on a pack.
Carbon Fiber Stock With M5 Cutout
The 100 percent carbon stock includes length-of-pull spacers for a custom fit and an M5 inlet that runs an AICS-style detachable magazine or converts to a traditional floorplate. Sling studs are installed for a sling or bipod. The black finish with gray sponge accents gives the rifle a clean look and a grippy texture in wet or cold weather.
Threaded Barrel With Omni Muzzle Brake
The muzzle is threaded 5/8×24 and ships with Bergara’s Omni brake, which takes a big bite out of magnum recoil. That helps you spot your own hits and stay on target for a quick follow-up. The same threads accept most suppressors in the right caliber if you prefer to hunt quiet.
Field Notes and Setup Tips
Before the season, mount your scope with quality rings, torque everything to spec and confirm zero at 100 yards. Then gather real drop data at 300, 500 and beyond with the exact load you plan to hunt with, since published charts rarely match your barrel. Practice from field positions such as kneeling, sitting and off a pack, because hunting shots seldom come from a bench. A good sling and a lightweight bipod or tripod make a big difference in the mountains.

Before You Buy
7mm PRC is a magnum cartridge, and even with the brake installed a rifle in this weight class kicks harder than a .308 or 6.5 Creedmoor. A brake also makes the rifle louder for the shooter and anyone beside the bench, so wear good hearing protection. No scope or base is included.
Who It Is For
The Bergara Crest Carbon 7mm PRC fits western hunters chasing elk, sheep and mule deer at real distance, and anyone who wants a lightweight mountain rifle with serious long-range reach and manageable recoil. Pair it with a quality 4-16x or 5-25x scope and a solid 20 MOA base to get the most from it.
