Description
The Beretta M9A4 Overlanding Nomad Bronze is a full-size 9mm double/single-action pistol finished in an earthy bronze Cerakote, part of Beretta’s Overlanding series built for outdoor adventurers and collectors. It packs every modern M9A4 upgrade, including an optic-ready slide, a threaded 5.1-inch barrel, night sights, and an 18-round magazine.
Beretta M9A4 Overlanding Nomad Bronze Overview
Beretta’s M9A4 is the latest evolution of the 92 and M9 pistols that served U.S. forces for decades. The Overlanding series takes that platform off the pavement with trail-inspired colors: Lunar, Clay, and this Nomad Bronze. Under the finish, it is a serious pistol, with a slim straight-backstrap frame, a red-dot ready slide, a beveled magwell, an oversized magazine release, and a three-slot Picatinny rail. It ships with two 18-round magazines in discreet packaging.
Frame and Grip
The Vertec style frame has a straight backstrap and thinner grip than the classic 92FS, which helps more shooters reach the trigger comfortably. The beavertail protects your hand and helps you grip high on the gun, and the beveled magazine well speeds reloads. Even so, it is a large pistol with a long double-action reach, so try it if your hands are small.
Sights and Optics
Factory tritium night sights glow in the dark for fast aiming in low light, and the slide is cut for a red-dot optic with mounting plates sold separately. A dot speeds target acquisition, and the night sights remain usable as a backup. Use thread locker on optic screws and confirm zero before carrying.
Threaded Barrel
The 5.1-inch barrel is threaded 1/2-28 for a suppressor or compensator. Suppressors are NFA items requiring an approved ATF Form 4 and must be legal in your state. Keep the thread protector installed when no device is attached.
Decocker and Trigger
This model uses the Type G decocker, so the lever lowers the hammer safely and returns to the fire position, with no manual safety to manage. The first shot is a longer double-action pull, followed by lighter single-action shots. Practice the transition so your follow-up shots stay on target.
Finish and Durability
The bronze Cerakote finish covers the steel slide and aluminum frame, resisting scratches, moisture, and corrosion far better than traditional bluing. It is a practical finish for a truck gun, camp gun, or range pistol that will see real use.
Care and Maintenance
Field strip with the takedown lever, clean the slide rails, locking block, and barrel, and keep a light film of oil on contact points. Replace the recoil spring on schedule to protect the aluminum frame.
State Laws
Magazine capacity limits, handgun rosters, and threaded barrel rules vary by state. Check your local regulations, and your receiving FFL dealer can help confirm this pistol is legal where you live.
