Description
The Beretta M9A4 Centurion 10 Round is the shorter-slide version of Beretta’s current military-pattern 92, and it is the one that makes the most sense for a civilian buyer. A 4.80-inch threaded barrel, an optic-ready slide, an aluminium frame with a beavertail and a Picatinny rail, all in Flat Dark Earth Cerakote. It ships with ten-round magazines, so it is lawful in every state.
This is part number JS92QM9A4G. The G suffix matters: the Beretta M9A4 Centurion 10 Round is a decocker-only pistol with no manual safety to leave engaged, which is the configuration most serious 92 shooters ask for.
What the G configuration changes
- A decocker that springs back to the fire position rather than a safety you can leave on
- No possibility of presenting the pistol with the safety accidentally engaged
- The same lever position and motion, so training on a standard 92 transfers directly
- Preferred by most agencies and instructors who issue the platform
- Everything else about the Beretta M9A4 Centurion 10 Round is the standard M9A4

Centurion means a shorter slide, not a shorter grip
- A 4.80-inch barrel rather than the 5.10 of the full-size M9A4
- The full-length grip is retained, so magazine capacity and hand fill are unchanged
- Quicker to clear a holster and slightly faster to bring on target
- Balance moves rearward, which most shooters read as livelier
- Still long enough to thread for a muzzle device

Optic, light and threads
The Beretta M9A4 Centurion 10 Round arrives set up for all three. The slide is cut for a red dot at the factory, the dust cover carries a Picatinny rail, and the muzzle is threaded. Optic adapter plates are footprint-specific and sold separately; check which pattern your sight uses before ordering.
A suppressor is an NFA item requiring an ATF application and approval before transfer, and MAG5 Firearms does not deal in NFA items. The threads take a compensator or thread protector without any of that. For practice ammunition, CCI Blazer Brass is the economical choice, and cartridge standards are published by SAAMI.
Magazines and capacity law
The Beretta M9A4 Centurion 10 Round ships with ten-round magazines, which makes it lawful to own in every state. The pistol is a standard M9A4 Centurion, so it accepts the higher-capacity 92-series magazines wherever those are permitted, including the Mec-Gar 30-round.
Capacity rules differ between states and sometimes between municipalities. Check your own before ordering spares rather than before ordering the pistol.
Why this pistol earns its place
- A decocker-only 92 with no manual safety to forget under pressure
- The Beretta M9A4 Centurion 10 Round has an optic cut, a rail and a threaded muzzle from the factory
- An aluminium frame and steel slide, which very few makers still offer at this price
- Lawful capacity in every state, with full-capacity magazines fitting where legal
- Beretta’s United States parts and service network is as deep as anyone’s
The Beretta M9A4 Centurion 10 Round suits a shooter who wants the current military-pattern 92 in a slightly handier package, and anyone building around a dot and a light. For the full-size slide the M9A4 Overlanding shares the same action, and for a classic 92 the 92FS Brigadier is the alternative.
All firearm purchases ship to a licensed dealer and require a completed background check. Contact MAG5 Firearms if you need help arranging the transfer.
