Description
The Beretta APX A1 Full Size 10 Round is the state-compliant configuration of Beretta’s full-size striker-fired pistol, and the magazine is the only thing that has been changed. The 4.25-inch barrel, the factory optic cut, the Aquatech Shield slide finish, the Picatinny rail, the interchangeable backstraps and the ambidextrous controls are all identical to the seventeen-round gun.
This is part number JAXA1F910FO. If you live under a ten-round limit, or you move and travel enough that you would rather own one pistol that is lawful everywhere, the Beretta APX A1 Full Size 10 Round settles it.
What the Beretta APX A1 Full Size 10 Round keeps
- The full 4.25-inch barrel, so velocity and sight radius are unchanged
- The full-length grip, so all three fingers are on the gun
- The factory optic cut, machined into the slide rather than added later
- The Picatinny rail moulded into the frame for a weapon light
- Interchangeable backstraps and fully ambidextrous controls

Why a ten-round full-size pistol makes sense
- Lawful in every state, so it survives a move or a long road trip
- Several competition divisions cap at ten rounds whatever local law says
- Some ranges impose their own capacity rules regardless of the state
- A full-size grip is easier to shoot well than a compact, capacity aside
- The pistol is standard, so full-capacity magazines fit wherever they are legal

Dot, light, and what to buy first
If you are only buying one accessory for the Beretta APX A1 Full Size 10 Round, buy the light. You cannot legally or morally shoot at what you have not identified, and a weapon light on the frame rail solves that. A red dot comes second, and because the cut is machined into the slide it will hold zero without a gunsmith. Adapter plates are footprint-specific, so check yours before ordering.
For practice, CCI Blazer Brass is the economical choice. Cartridge dimensions and maximum pressures are published by SAAMI.
A note on capacity law
Magazine capacity rules vary between states and occasionally between municipalities, and they change. The Beretta APX A1 Full Size 10 Round is a standard APX A1 Full Size that ships with ten-round magazines, so it is lawful to own anywhere and will accept full-capacity magazines where those are permitted.
Check your own jurisdiction before buying spare magazines rather than before buying the pistol. The gun itself is not the restricted part.
Why this pistol earns its place
- Lawful capacity in every state with no reduction in barrel, grip or features
- A factory optic cut and accessory rail, which many duty pistols still charge extra for
- The Beretta APX A1 Full Size 10 Round is easier to shoot well than any compact, which matters more than five rounds
- Aquatech Shield resists corrosion better than a plain nitride slide finish
- Genuinely ambidextrous controls rather than a reversible magazine catch
The Beretta APX A1 Full Size 10 Round suits a shooter in a capacity-restricted state, a ten-round competition division, or anyone who would rather stop tracking magazine law. Where full capacity is lawful the seventeen-round and fifteen-round versions are the same pistol.
