Description
The Beretta 92GTS 9mm Optic Ready is a full-size double/single-action pistol that blends the proven Beretta 92 design with modern features: an optic-ready slide, a slim grip, an improved trigger, and an 18-round magazine. It is a 92 built for today’s shooters who want a red dot and a smoother shooting experience.

Beretta 92GTS 9mm Optic Ready Overview
The 92GTS takes the core of the 92 family, an aluminum frame, open-top slide, and locking-block barrel, and refines it in almost every area shooters touch. The frame has a straight backstrap, reduced-width grip panels, and a beavertail, so it fits a wider range of hands than the original 92FS. The slide is cut for optics, the dust cover carries a Picatinny rail, and the controls use a decocker-only layout with no manual safety. Beretta finished the slide in black Cerakote and the barrel in black for a durable, low-glare look.
X-Treme S Trigger
The trigger is the biggest upgrade. Beretta’s Xtreme-S trigger system gives a lighter, smoother double-action pull and a short, crisp single-action break with little overtravel. Shooters who struggled with older 92 triggers often find this version much easier to shoot accurately. Like any DA/SA pistol, it takes practice to master the transition from the first long pull to the lighter follow-up shots.

Optic-Ready Slide
The slide is milled to accept a red dot through mounting plates, so you can install many popular pistol optics. A red dot speeds target acquisition and helps shooters with aging eyes, but on this pistol the dot sits fairly high above the bore, so expect a little more holdover up close. A high-visibility front sight and blacked-out rear remain usable without an optic.
Slim Grip and Ergonomics
The thinner, straight-backstrap Vertec style grip and undercut trigger guard let your hand ride higher and reach the trigger more easily than on a standard 92. Extra grip panels come in the box. At about 33 ounces unloaded, the pistol is heavy, which helps soak up recoil but makes it a better choice for home defense, duty, and range use than for all-day concealed carry.

Decocker and Controls
The frame-mounted ambidextrous decocker drops the hammer safely and springs back to the fire position. There is no manual safety, so your trigger finger discipline and a quality holster that fully covers the trigger guard are essential.
Magazines and Capacity
The pistol ships with two 18-round magazines, and standard 92-pattern magazines will also work. In states with capacity limits, you will need compliant magazines, so check before you order.
Care and Maintenance
Field strip with the takedown lever, clean the slide rails and locking block, and keep a light film of oil on contact points. Replace the recoil spring on schedule to protect the aluminum frame.
State Laws
Magazine capacity limits and handgun rosters vary by state. Check your local regulations before ordering, and your receiving FFL dealer can help confirm this pistol is legal where you live.
