This is a gunsmithing component, not a bolt-on accessory. Chambering, threading and headspacing to the supplied dimensions require a lathe, the correct gauges and someone who knows how to use both. If that is not your shop, this kit should go to the smith who will do the work.

Barrett also calls for a thread locking compound on the extension threads, and the card names the specification. A barrel cut to a remembered number rather than the printed one is the most common way these builds go wrong.

Note the caliber family carefully. The EB bolt face and extension in this kit are cut for 375 EnABELR. Barrett catalogs a separate EA kit for 416 Barrett under its own part number, and the two are not interchangeable. If your rifle is a 416, order that one instead. Commercial cartridge and chamber standards are published by SAAMI, though 375 EnABELR remains a specialist proprietary round.
