Description
The Akkar 206 Target Force High Rib is the flat-shooting, head-up member of the Target Force family, and it is aimed straight at trap and sporting clays shooters. Catalogued as part number 131001, it runs 30-inch barrels under a tapered high rib, wears a high-gloss OxyCap receiver, and arrives with seven extended chokes and a Negrini ABS hard case already in the box.
What the Akkar 206 Target Force High Rib Does Differently
A high rib changes how you shoot. It lifts your head into a more upright, comfortable posture and raises the point of impact, so a rising target stays visible above the barrels rather than being blotted out at the moment you break it. Trap shooters and many sporting clays competitors prefer that sight picture, and it is genuinely easier on the neck over a long day of shooting.
30-Inch Barrels with Tapered High Rib
Thirty inches is the sweet spot for shooters who want target-gun momentum without the extra swing weight of a 32-inch tube. The rib tapers along its length, which keeps the sighting plane looking consistent from breech to bead, and a .730 bore diameter promotes even patterns. Overall length is about 45 inches, so the gun is more manageable than its longer stablemates.
Adjustable Walnut Stock and Seven Extended Chokes
The walnut stock adjusts at both the comb and the butt plate, letting you set cheek height, length of pull and cast until the gun puts its pattern exactly where your eye goes. Seven extended choke tubes are included, covering skeet, improved cylinder, modified and improved modified constrictions and more, so no station or handicap yardage catches you unprepared.
Automatic Ejectors, Tang Safety and Barrel Selector
Automatic ejectors clear empties for fast reloads between pairs, and the parts to convert them to plain extractors are included for shooters who save their hulls. A tang safety with an integrated barrel selector sits under your thumb, letting you choose which barrel fires first without breaking your grip. The high-gloss OxyCap receiver finish is genuinely striking and holds up well to handling. The chamber is 2¾ inches.

Who Should Buy It
Buy this if you shoot registered trap, handicap or sporting clays and want the raised sight picture and adjustable fit of a purpose-built target gun without paying premium European prices. The included choke set and travel case mean you are ready for a match the week it arrives.
The compromises are the usual ones for a target gun. The 2¾-inch chamber rules out 3-inch magnum and steel waterfowl loads, so this is not a hunting shotgun. The high rib that helps on the clays course is a liability in the field, where you often need to shoot with your head down on a fast-flushing bird. There are no sling swivel studs, the gun is heavy to carry any distance, and the glossy receiver finish will collect fingerprints. Shooters wanting one gun for both clays and hunting should look at a field over/under instead.
For target work specifically, the Akkar 206 Target Force High Rib delivers a lot of competition gun for the outlay. Browse more options in our firearms collection, or read the maker’s overview at Akkar USA.
