Description
Federal Game-Shok 12ga Upland Quail shotshells are Federal Game-Shok Upland Game Loads built for upland hunting. Each 12 gauge 2 3/4 inch shell carries 1 ounce of number 7 1/2 lead shot at about 1,290 feet per second, with roughly 350 pellets according to Federal. This combination is a strong choice for quail, doves and woodcock. Each box holds 25 shells.
Reliable Upland Performance
Federal Game-Shok Upland loads are designed to cover a wide range of small game, whether you hunt woods or fields, fur or feathers. They are an affordable, dependable choice for hunters who want consistent results without paying for premium specialty loads.
The lead shot is formulated for optimum hardness. Harder pellets deform less as they travel down the barrel, which improves pattern efficiency and puts more pellets on target at typical upland distances.
A brass plated steel head and one piece wad maximize the payload, while select propellant and a non corrosive primer provide efficient, reliable ignition in all kinds of weather.

Upland Hunting Tips
Use Federal Game-Shok 12ga Upland Quail shells only in shotguns chambered for 12 gauge 2 3/4 inch shells or longer.
Pattern your shotgun with the choke you plan to hunt with. Improved cylinder and modified chokes work well for most upland birds.
Lead shot is not legal for waterfowl or in some areas. Check local regulations before you hunt.
Wear blaze orange where required and always know where your hunting partners and dogs are before you shoot.
Federal Game-Shok 12ga Upland Quail shells are a superb choice for hunters after quail, doves and woodcock, and for anyone who wants an affordable, dependable field load.
Federal Game-Shok has been a staple of hunting camps for decades, and for good reason. These loads are simple, reliable and priced so you can buy enough for a full season plus practice on clays. Federal Game-Shok 12ga Upland Quail shells continue that tradition.
Shot size is one of the most important choices in upland hunting. Number 7 1/2 shot is a strong match for quail, doves and woodcock, and the light 1 ounce load is easy on the shoulder during high volume dove shoots. Larger shot carries more energy per pellet, while smaller shot puts more pellets in the pattern, so match your load to the game and the distances you expect.
Practice makes a big difference on flushing birds. Time on the skeet or sporting clays field builds a smooth, consistent swing, and that skill carries over directly to the field.
Store your shells in a cool, dry place and keep the box closed between hunts. Buying several boxes of Federal Game-Shok 12ga Upland Quail from the same lot keeps your patterns consistent from opening day to the end of the season.
Good dog work and smart positioning matter as much as the shell. Hunt into the wind when you can, let your dog work cover thoroughly and stay ready for birds that flush behind you. When a bird gets up, mount the gun smoothly, keep your head down on the stock and follow through after the shot. With Federal Game-Shok 12ga Upland Quail in your vest, you will have a dependable load that patterns well and performs consistently across a full day in the field.
