CZ Redhead Premier 20ga 28 Overview
The Redhead Premier is a CZ over and under shotgun. Stacked barrels give a single sighting plane and two choke choices, ready for clays and birds.
Action and Controls
The Redhead Premier is an over and under shotgun with a break open action. It holds 2rd rounds. The trigger is Single Stage. The safety is tang. This is a right hand model.
Barrel and Chokes
The 28 inch barrel has a vent rib profile. The chamber accepts 3″ shells. Sights are Bead.
Stock and Fit
The stock is wood with a turkish walnut finish. The length of pull is 14.50″. Metal surfaces wear Satin Silver Chrome and Gloss Black Chrome.
Size and Handling
Overall length is 45.75″. It weighs about 6.90 lbs. Mount the gun the same way every time and let your eyes lead the muzzle to the target.
Ammo and Practice
Use target loads for clays, the right shot size for the birds you hunt, and buckshot or slugs only where they fit the job. Pattern the gun with each load at the distances you expect to shoot.
The 20 gauge
The 20 gauge is lighter and kicks less than a 12, yet with modern loads it handles upland birds, doves and even ducks.
Sporting Clays and Hunting
This shotgun is at home on sporting clays, skeet and trap, and it carries well in the field for upland birds.
Accessories
A sling, a case, extra choke tubes and a good recoil pad make a shotgun easier to live with. Hunters should add shell carriers and blaze orange or camo gear as the season requires.
Buying Tips
Pattern your gun with each choke and load you plan to use, and check that the length of pull fits you.
Care and Value
Clean the bore and action after each range trip or hunt, keep moving parts lightly oiled and wipe the finish after handling. A well kept CZ holds its value.
State Laws
Some states limit semi-auto features, magazine capacity and hunting calibers. Check your local law before you buy. Pennsylvania buyers can transfer at our Collegeville shop or at any FFL.
Ordering and Transfer
When you order a firearm from MAG5 Firearms, we ship it to the licensed dealer you choose. Your dealer completes the ATF Form 4473 and the background check, and may charge a transfer fee. Local buyers can complete the transfer at our shop. Bring a valid ID, and check your state waiting period before you plan a hunt or a range trip.
Safe Storage
Store the firearm unloaded in a locked safe or case, with ammunition kept separately. A cable lock or trigger lock is a good backup, especially in a home with children or visitors. Keep the original box and paperwork, and record the serial number in a safe place in case the gun is ever lost or stolen.
