The Ruger Super Wrangler is two revolvers in one box. It comes with a .22 Long Rifle cylinder and a .22 Winchester Magnum Rimfire cylinder, and swapping between them takes about a minute and no tools.

Both distributors say the sights are fixed. Ruger says otherwise, and Ruger is right.
Sports South and Zanders both record the sight type on this revolver as fixed. Ruger’s own spec sheet for model 2032 lists a ramp front sight and a windage and elevation adjustable rear. That is not a small difference: an adjustable rear sight is what lets you zero for one load and then re-zero when you swap to the other cylinder, and .22 LR and .22 WMR will not shoot to the same point of impact out of the same barrel. We are going with Ruger, and it is worth knowing that two distributor records have this wrong.
Two cylinders on the Ruger Super Wrangler, and one warning from Ruger
The extra cylinder is the whole reason the Ruger Super Wrangler exists. One drops out, the other drops in, and the revolver goes from .22 Long Rifle to .22 Winchester Magnum Rimfire in about a minute with no tools. Cheap volume shooting on one cylinder, considerably more energy on the other, out of the same gun in the same holster.
Ruger prints an explicit footnote that matters if you already own one of their rimfires: Super Wrangler cylinders are not interchangeable with Wrangler or Single-Six revolvers. They look like they should be and they are not, so do not buy a spare cylinder for the wrong model.
Ammunition for each Ruger Super Wrangler cylinder
You want a load for each. Armscor 36 grain high velocity hollow point is the .22 Long Rifle we keep deepest, and a single action revolver will fire anything including subsonic and standard velocity loads that a semi-automatic will not cycle. On the magnum cylinder, Armscor 40 grain JHP and Winchester Super-X 40 grain are both in stock in quantity. Zero the adjustable rear sight separately for each cylinder rather than assuming one setting covers both.

This suits the plinker, the trail walker and the smallholder: someone who wants a rimfire revolver that can shoot cheap all afternoon and still have something with more authority in it when a coyote turns up. It suits a shooter learning single action for the first time, because the deliberate cocking stroke slows everything down. It is not fast, it is not a defensive handgun, and at 37.7 ounces it is not light. The Ruger Super Wrangler is a working rimfire, and it is very good at being one.
