Sig Sauer P320 XTen Comp 10 Round – Superb Compliant 10mm

Description

The Sig Sauer P320 XTen Comp 10 Round exists so that a magazine limit does not have to mean settling for a lesser pistol. Everything that makes the compensated XTen Comp Carry worth owning is here unchanged: the 3.8-inch bull barrel, the integral compensator, the optic-ready slide and the XSeries grip. Only the magazines in the box differ, and MAG5 Firearms ships it ready for capacity-restricted states.

How the Sig Sauer P320 XTen Comp 10 Round Handles Full-Power 10mm

Ten millimeter Auto has a reputation for punishing the shooter, and in an ordinary polymer pistol that reputation is earned. The compensator on the Sig Sauer P320 XTen Comp 10 Round changes the equation by venting gas upward at the muzzle, which counteracts rise instead of simply absorbing it.

The bull barrel adds mass exactly where it does the most good. Between the two, follow-up shots come back on target fast enough that many shooters run this pistol at speeds they associate with a 9mm.

Chassis, Grip and Optic Cut

The XSeries grip module brings a flat trigger and aggressive texture that the standard P320 module does not have. Combined with the beavertail, it puts the hand as high on the bore line as the design permits, which is the single largest factor in controlling a cartridge this stout.

The slide is cut from the factory for the SIG PRO RX optic footprint, so no adapter plate is required. Nitron finish over stainless resists corrosion, and the serrations front and rear are cut deep enough to work with gloves.

Where This Pistol Earns Its Keep

A compensated 10mm in a carry-length package covers ground that few handguns reach. It is credible against large animals on a trail, it feeds heavy hard-cast loads for the backcountry, and it still rides in a normal inside-the-waistband holster for daily carry.

The manual thumb safety is worth noting. Shooters who came up on hammer-fired guns or who carry in a soft bag often prefer a positive mechanical safety, and this configuration provides one without adding bulk.

Capacity Rules and What Ships in the Box

Ten-round magazines make this pistol legal to purchase in states where the standard fifteen-round version is not. The magazine well is unchanged, so nothing about the gun needs to be modified and nothing about how it shoots is different.

Verify your own state and local requirements before ordering. Where standard capacity is permitted, the fifteen-round version of this same pistol is cataloged separately.

Modularity and Transfer

The serialized fire control unit means this purchase can become a different pistol later. Grip modules, slides and barrels all swap without a second transfer, which no competing platform in this class offers.
