Description

The Sig Sauer 1911 XEmperor Scorpion Carry is the carry-length version of the most heavily specified 1911 SIG builds. MAG5 Firearms stocks it in coyote PVD over both slide and frame, with LOK G10 grips, a railed dust cover, an optic-cut slide and a ROMEO-X already mounted.

Everything Already Done

A standard 1911 becomes a carry gun through a series of purchases: better grips, an optic cut, a light rail, night sights. The Sig Sauer 1911 XEmperor Scorpion Carry arrives with all of them, which is both cheaper and faster than doing it one part at a time.

Physical vapor deposition bonds a hard ceramic-metal layer to the steel at a molecular level rather than sitting on top as a coating. It outlasts bluing and Cerakote under holster abrasion and resists corrosion far better than either.

Running it on both halves means the Sig Sauer 1911 XEmperor Scorpion Carry wears evenly, and coyote hides the handling marks that show up immediately on a black gun.

A full-size Government 1911 shoots beautifully and conceals poorly. At 4.25 inches the slide and barrel lose the part that prints hardest at the belt line while keeping the trigger and grip that define the platform.

The frame is steel rather than alloy, so the pistol keeps the mass that turns 45 ACP recoil into a push rather than a snap.

Rail, Grips and Holsters

A Picatinny rail on the dust cover takes a compact weapon light directly, with none of the adapter blocks older Government-pattern frames require and none of the loosening that follows.

LOK G10 panels hold a firing grip when wet without abrading a cover garment, and holster support for railed carry-length 1911s is broad, including rigs cut for a mounted optic.
