Description
The Wilson Combat ACP-COM-9 Commander 9mm is the 9mm ACP Commander, a hand-fit 1911 with a 4.25 inch barrel, black Armor-Tuff finish and black G10 Eagle Claw grips. It holds 10+1 rounds and comes with two magazines.

Wilson Combat ACP-COM-9 Commander 9mm Overview
The 9mm Commander is the softest-shooting gun in the ACP line, and many owners think the 1911 handles 9mm better than any other cartridge. Distributor data lists an overall length of 7.85 inches and a weight of 37.8 ounces, which soaks up recoil well. Our store title said 4 inches; Wilson and the distributors list 4.25 inches. Wilson also makes a version with an ambidextrous safety, sold separately.
Which ACP Commander This Is
This listing is model ACP-COM-9, UPC 810025501037. Wilson sells an ambidextrous-safety ACP Commander under a separate model number and UPC, and left-handed shooters should check which safety they want before ordering. Otherwise the two share the same slide, barrel, finish and grips.

Sights and Trigger
Wilson fits its Battlesight rear, a serrated notch with a front ledge for one-handed slide manipulation, and a fiber optic front sight that is bright in daylight. The trigger has a medium pad and a short, crisp single action break. A contoured magazine well helps reloads, and the Bullet Proof thumb safety is a Wilson part.
9mm in a Steel 1911
A 9mm 1911 gives you ten rounds instead of eight, cheaper practice and very little muzzle flip. The weight that makes it soft also makes it heavy to carry, so use a good belt and holster. Some 9mm 1911s are pickier about bullet shape than 45s, so test your defensive ammunition before carrying it.
Magazines
The pistol ships with two 10 round magazines. Buy spares from Wilson or another maker known for 9mm 1911 magazines, since cheap 9mm 1911 magazines are a common cause of feeding problems. Number your magazines so you can track down a bad one.
Care and Finish
Armor-Tuff over carbon steel resists wear and solvents better than bluing, but bare spots can rust, so wipe the pistol down after carrying in heat. Keep the rails lubricated, replace the recoil spring on schedule, and practice the manual safety until it is automatic.
State Laws and Ownership
Pennsylvania has no handgun roster, and a 10 round magazine is legal in every state. California and Massachusetts require roster-listed handguns, and some cities add permit rules. Check your own state and local laws and confirm the transfer with your receiving FFL before ordering.
