The Pitbull runs on a double/single action system. It holds 5rd rounds. The safety is transfer bar. Practice your trigger press and reloads until they feel natural.
Barrel and Sights
The 2.50 inch barrel. Sights are Fixed Front. Check that your front sight is crisp in focus as you press the trigger, which is the key to accuracy with any handgun.

Overall length is 7.38″, height is 5″ and width is 6.0000. It weighs about 22 oz. That size works well for concealed carry with the right holster.
Ammo and Practice
Feed this revolver quality factory ammo from a known brand. Shoot a few hundred rounds of practice ammo and at least a box of your chosen defensive load to confirm it runs reliably before you trust it for protection.
The 45 ACP
The 45 ACP is a proven defensive round with big, slow bullets and moderate recoil.
Concealed Carry and Defense
This revolver is sized for concealed carry. Pair it with a quality holster and a sturdy belt, and practice your draw with an unloaded gun before you carry. For home defense, keep it in a quick access safe.
Holsters and Accessories
Plan on a quality holster made for this exact model, a magazine pouch, a lock or quick access safe, and eye and ear protection. A weapon light and a red dot are popular upgrades if the gun is set up for them.
Buying Tips
Pick up extra magazines, a quality holster and plenty of practice ammo. If you are new to handguns, a basic safety class is a smart first step.
Care and Value
Clean the bore and action after each range trip or hunt, keep moving parts lightly oiled and wipe the finish after handling. A well kept Charter Arms holds its value.
