Description
The Savage Stance XR FDE 9mm Micro Pistol is a slim, optics-ready micro 9mm pistol built for everyday carry. It pairs a 3.2-inch stainless barrel with a Flat Dark Earth frame, a black nitride steel slide, snag-free sights, and it ships with both a 13-round extended magazine and a 10-round flush magazine.
Savage Stance XR FDE 9mm Micro Pistol Overview
Savage set out to refine the micro pistol with the Stance XR, and the result is a thin, easy-to-conceal handgun that still feels like a real pistol in the hand. Aggressive surface textures, advanced slide serrations, and an ergonomic grip make it comfortable inside the waistband and controllable at the range. At just 0.96 inches wide and about 1.32 pounds, it disappears under a T-shirt while carrying up to 14 rounds of 9mm Luger.
Optics Ready with a Quick Release Plate
The Quick Release Optics (QRO) plate makes mounting and removing a red dot fast and simple, so you can add a micro optic without a gunsmith or a complicated plate system. A red dot speeds up target acquisition and helps shooters of every skill level put rounds where they want them, especially under stress.
Fast, Snag-Free Sights
The sights pair a bright orange front dot with a white dot U-notch rear. The orange dot draws your eye quickly to the front sight, and the rear notch frames it naturally for fast, accurate shots at typical defensive distances. The snag-free profile draws cleanly from concealment, and the Flat Dark Earth frame gives the pistol a distinctive two-tone look.
Grip, Controls, and Safety
Two interchangeable 18-degree backstraps let you tailor grip size to your hand. Stippling wraps the grip for a secure, 360-degree hold with finger indexing points. The magazine release and slide stop are ambidextrous, so left-handed shooters get the same easy operation as righties. This model has no manual safety, relying on a trigger safety and a consistent striker-fired pull, a setup many carriers prefer for a simple draw-to-shot sequence.
Trigger and Barrel
The striker-fired trigger has a short, crisp pull, a short reset, and a wide, well-rounded face that spreads pressure across your finger. The 3.2-inch stainless steel barrel has a 1:10 twist and is paired with a ported, beveled steel slide finished in black nitride for corrosion and wear resistance. Takedown is quick thanks to a dedicated takedown lever, which makes routine cleaning simple.
Magazines and Carry
The pistol comes with one 13-round extended magazine and one 10-round flush magazine in a hard case. Carry the flush magazine for the slimmest profile and keep the extended magazine as a spare, or run the 13-rounder for a fuller grip at the range.
