Winchester Model 70 Ext Creedmoor 22 Overview
The Model 70 has been called the rifleman’s rifle since 1936. Today it is built with the pre-64 style controlled round feed claw extractor, the M.O.A. trigger system and a three position safety. This version is the Model 70 Extreme Weather SS.
Action and Trigger
The bolt action feeds from a 4 round magazine. The controlled round feed claw extractor grips each cartridge from the magazine to the chamber, and the three position safety lets you unload with the safety on.
Barrel
The 22 inch stainless barrel has a sporter contour and a 1 in 8 inch twist. The metal wears Matte and Textured.
Stock and Fit
The composite stock has a textured finish and none. Winchester lists a 13 3/4 inch length of pull and a Pachmayr Decelerator.
