Description
The Rost Martin RM1C 9mm 15 Round Black is a compact, optic-ready striker-fired pistol with a 4 inch hammer-forged barrel, a flat-face trigger and ambidextrous controls, designed in the United States to give carry and range shooters a feature-rich gun at a fair price.

Rost Martin RM1C 9mm 15 Round Black Overview
Rost Martin is a young American brand, and the RM1C is its core model. The slide is nitrocarburized steel with front and rear serrations and anti-glare serrations on top, cut for an optic and supplied with a plate for the Trijicon RMR footprint. The black polymer frame has Responsive Grip Texture, modular backstraps, a funneled magazine well, an undercut trigger guard and an extended beavertail. Rost Martin lists it at 21.1 ounces with a flush magazine, 7.1 inches long, 5.0 inches tall and 1.1 inches wide.
Trigger and Controls
The RM1C uses a double action striker system with a flat-face trigger of about 5 pounds and a short reset. The slide stop and magazine release are both ambidextrous, which helps left-handed shooters and anyone practicing support-hand manipulations. Textured index points, often called gas pedals, sit on both sides of the frame so your support thumb has a solid place to press and help control muzzle rise.

Optic Ready Out of the Box
Many carry pistols are sold optic ready but leave you to buy the plate. The RM1C includes a plate for the RMR footprint, so a compatible red dot can go on as soon as you have the right screws and a torque driver. Rost Martin also sells separate plates for other footprints. Keep the factory cover plate if you plan to shoot with iron sights first.
Capacity and Magazines
This listing is the black RM1C in the 15 round configuration. Rost Martin’s standard RM1C package includes a flush 15 round and an extended 17 round magazine, and the distributor code on this SKU points to the 15 round setup, so check the box contents at pickup. Extra 15 and 17 round RM1C magazines are available, and 10 round magazines exist for restricted states.

Sights and Barrel
The factory sights are a serrated black rear and a white dot front, a simple setup that is fast in daylight but harder to see in dim light than tritium or fiber optic. The 4 inch barrel is hammer forged and crowned, and it is long enough for good velocity from defensive loads while keeping the gun easy to hide under a shirt.
Honest Expectations
Rost Martin does not have the long service record or huge holster and accessory selection of Glock or Smith and Wesson, so confirm a holster fits the RM1C before you rely on one, and expect lower resale value than legacy brands. In exchange you get features such as an optic plate, ambidextrous controls and modular backstraps that cost extra on many competing compacts.
State Laws and Ownership
Handgun purchase rules vary widely by state. Some states require a permit, license or safety certificate before you can buy any handgun, and California, Massachusetts and a few others only allow dealers to sell models on an approved roster. Concealed carry needs a valid permit in many states, and reciprocity between states is not automatic. MAG5 Firearms does not ship firearms to Massachusetts or Oregon. Ask your receiving FFL to confirm local transfer rules before you order.
This 15 round configuration is not legal for sale in states that limit magazines to 10 rounds, and the standard RM1C is not on the California roster.

Before You Buy
Federal law requires that this handgun ship to a licensed FFL dealer, where you will complete ATF Form 4473 and a background check. You must be at least 21 years old to buy a handgun from a dealer. Use quality 9mm ammunition and fire at least a few hundred rounds of your chosen defensive load before you carry the pistol. Our original store title read RMC1, which is a typo for the RM1C.
