Winchester Model 70 Creedmoor 22 Overview
The Model 70 has been called the rifleman’s rifle since 1936. Today it is built with the pre-64 style controlled round feed claw extractor, the M.O.A. trigger system and a three position safety. This version is the Model 70 Featherweight.
Action and Trigger
The bolt action feeds from a 4 round magazine. The controlled round feed claw extractor grips each cartridge from the magazine to the chamber, and the three position safety lets you unload with the safety on.
Barrel
The 22 inch steel barrel has a featherweight contour and a 1 in 8 inch twist. The metal wears Brushed Polish and Satin.
Stock and Fit
The black walnut stock has a satin finish and cut 20 lpi. Winchester lists a 13 3/4 inch length of pull and a Pachmayr Decelerator.
