Winchester Model 70 Super 230 7mm RM 26 Overview
The Model 70 has been called the rifleman’s rifle since 1936. Today it is built with the pre-64 style controlled round feed claw extractor, the M.O.A. trigger system and a three position safety. This version is the Model 70 Super Grade Maple.
Action and Trigger
The bolt action feeds from a 3 round magazine. The controlled round feed claw extractor grips each cartridge from the magazine to the chamber, and the three position safety lets you unload with the safety on.
Barrel
The 26 inch steel barrel has a sporter contour and a 1 in 9 1/2 inch twist. The metal wears High Gloss and Gloss.
Stock and Fit
The maple stock has a gloss finish and cut 20 lpi. Winchester lists a 13 3/4 inch length of pull and a Pachmayr Decelerator.
