Henry Second Amendment Tribute 22 LR Overview
Henry Repeating Arms builds lever-action rifles and shotguns in the USA with a reputation for smooth actions, beautiful fit and finish, and outstanding customer service. Henry builds its firearms in the USA and backs them with a strong warranty and well-regarded customer service.
Design and Features
This version uses an Octagon Blued Steel barrel measuring 20 inches with a 1:16 rate of twist. The receiver is finished in Nickel Plated. The stock is American Walnut with a Straight Grip design. Extras include Receiver Engraving with 24K Gold Plating. Gold Eagle, 2nd Amendment and Scroll. For optics, the receiver offers Drilled and Tapped.
Handling in the Field
Henry lever guns are light, slim, and balanced, so they carry easily in the woods and come up to the shoulder quickly. With a 16-round capacity you have plenty on hand for a day of hunting or plinking. Most Henry rifles load through a tube in the magazine, which is simple and safe: you never have to cycle live rounds through the action to unload.
Action and Trigger
The lever cycles smoothly with a short throw, and the trigger is crisp for a lever gun. The safety is a 1/4 cock (half-cock) design; Henry’s transfer bar system means the rifle will not fire unless the trigger is pulled.
Sights and Optics
It comes with Brass Bead front and Fully Adj. Semi-Buckhorn w/ Diamond Insert rear sights. The receiver is set up for optics (Drilled and Tapped), so you can add a scope or red dot if you prefer.
The 22 LR Cartridge
The 22 LR is the most affordable cartridge to shoot, with almost no recoil and little noise, ideal for practice, small game, and new shooters.
Setup and Accessories
Start with a quality optic and solid rings or a mount, then add a sling for carrying and a bipod or shooting bag for steady rests. Test a few loads for accuracy and settle on the one your rifle likes best. A hard case protects your investment on the way to the range or the field.
Ownership Tips
Read the owner manual fully before your first range trip, and keep the manual, box, and receipt with your records for warranty service and resale. Unload the rifle and confirm it is empty before cleaning. Field-strip it according to the owner manual, scrub the bore with a brush and patches, and wipe carbon from the bolt face and chamber. Apply a light coat of quality gun oil to the contact points, and wipe the exterior with a lightly oiled cloth before storage.

Some gallery photos come from Henry’s product page for this model family and may show another caliber of the same rifle; the finish and furniture are the same.
