Description
The Mossberg 940 Pro Turkey 12GA is a shotgun chambered in 12 Gauge with a 24-inch barrel. This model has a green leaf finish or stock as listed.
Mossberg 940 Pro Turkey 12GA Overview
The Mossberg 940 Pro is a gas-operated semi-auto designed for long round counts between cleanings. Turkey and tactical models in the 940 Pro line are built for reliability with a wide range of loads.
Design and Features
Features include an enlarged loading port, oversized controls, and an adjustable stock system, with camo or Cerakote finishes depending on the model.
Handling in the Field
Mossberg shotguns are built to be dependable year after year with simple maintenance. This model mounts naturally and swings smoothly, and it is ready for the field, range, or home defense right out of the box.
Action and Trigger
The semi-automatic action cycles quickly for fast follow-up shots. Run a few boxes of your preferred loads to confirm reliable cycling.
Sights and Optics
Mount the optic of your choice with quality rings or a mount, and zero it with the load you plan to use.
The 12 Gauge Cartridge
The 12 Gauge is the most versatile shotgun chambering, with loads for everything from clays and birds to buckshot and slugs.
Setup and Accessories
Set your shotgun up for its job: hunters will want a sling and a few choke tubes, clay shooters may add a recoil pad, and a home-defense setup benefits from a weapon light. Pattern every load and choke combination you plan to use.
Ownership Tips
Read the owner’s manual fully before your first range trip, and keep the manual, box, and receipt with your records for warranty service and resale. Unload the shotgun and confirm it is empty before cleaning. Field-strip it according to the owner’s manual, scrub the bore with a brush and patches, and wipe carbon from the action and choke threads. Apply a light coat of quality gun oil to the contact points, and wipe the exterior with a lightly oiled cloth before storage.
