CCI Maxi-Mag 22 WMR 40gr TMJ – Reliable Target Rimfire Ammo, 1875 fps, 50 Rounds

Description

The CCI Maxi-Mag 22 WMR 40gr TMJ load gives .22 Magnum shooters a non-expanding option for target work and small game. CCI loads a 40 grain Total Metal Jacket bullet, fully enclosed in copper, and drives it at a rated 1875 feet per second. The jacket helps keep barrels cleaner and produces consistent accuracy for plinking, target shooting and small game hunting where you want clean holes and minimal meat damage.

Why Choose the CCI Maxi-Mag 22 WMR 40gr TMJ

• 40 grain Total Metal Jacket bullet
• Rated 1875 fps muzzle velocity
• Non-expanding for minimal meat damage
• Reliable CCI priming and clean-burning powder
• 50 rounds per box, CCI 0023

Built for Targets and Small Game

• Fully jacketed bullet reduces lead fouling
• Consistent accuracy for plinking and practice
• Clean holes that save meat on small game
• Reliable feeding in semi-auto, bolt and lever rifles

If you also hunt varmints with a hollow point .22 Magnum load, check your zero when switching to TMJ, since bullet shape can shift point of impact slightly. Practice at 50 and 100 yards to learn your holdover.

Rimfire bullets can travel well over a mile, so always confirm a safe backstop before taking any shot. Store the box in a cool, dry place. CCI has built rimfire ammunition in Lewiston, Idaho for decades and is known for consistent quality from box to box.

The .22 Magnum fills the gap between the .22 LR and centerfire cartridges, delivering noticeably more speed and energy than a standard rimfire. With a 40 grain bullet at 1875 fps, this load stays accurate well past the distances where a .22 LR starts to drop off, which makes it a practical choice for longer plinking sessions and small game hunting in open country.

Most bolt-action, lever-action and semi-auto .22 Magnum rifles run this load well, and it also works in .22 Magnum revolvers. Test a few rounds in your own firearm to confirm accuracy and reliable function before heading to the field.

Clean your bore from time to time during long practice sessions. Even with a fully jacketed bullet, carbon and copper fouling can build up and affect accuracy. Keeping a bore snake in your range bag makes quick cleaning easy between strings of fire.

Why Choose 22 WMR TMJ Ammo

Most .22 Magnum loads use hollow point or polymer-tipped bullets designed to expand. The 22 wmr tmj load takes the opposite approach with a solid, fully jacketed bullet that holds together on impact. That makes it a great fit for 22 mag target ammo needs, where you want consistent accuracy without paying for varmint bullets you do not need.

It is also a smart pick for 22 wmr small game ammo. Squirrels and rabbits taken with a non-expanding bullet lose much less meat than with a hollow point, as long as you place your shots carefully. Head shots and well-placed shots just behind the shoulder work best.

Because the jacket covers the whole bullet, less lead is exposed, which helps keep your barrel cleaner through long sessions.

Target shooters, plinkers and small game hunters with a .22 Magnum rifle or revolver will get dependable performance from this 50-round box. Always confirm your firearm is chambered for .22 WMR, know what is beyond your target, and follow all federal, state and local hunting laws.
