Sig Sauer M400 Forge Moss Green – Complete 5.56 Rifle

Description

The Sig Sauer M400 Forge Moss Green is a complete rifle rather than a bare carbine, and the Moss Green Cerakote is what separates it visually from every black AR on a rack. MAG5 Firearms stocks it with a 16-inch barrel, a free-float M-LOK handguard and a ROMEO MSR Gen II red dot already included.

Why the Included Optic Matters

A bare AR-15 needs a sight before it is useful, and a decent red dot costs real money. The Sig Sauer M400 Forge Moss Green includes a ROMEO MSR Gen II, which is the same class of sight people buy separately for carbines at this price.

That makes the rifle usable on the first range trip rather than a project waiting on a second purchase.

Sig Sauer M400 Forge Moss Green Barrel and Handguard

A 16-inch barrel is the practical minimum for a rifle without NFA paperwork, and it keeps 5.56 running at velocities where the cartridge performs as designed.

The free-float M-LOK handguard does not touch the barrel, so a sling or bipod load does not shift point of impact. Slots along the sides and bottom take lights and hand stops directly.

Sig Sauer M400 Forge Moss Green Specifications

The Cerakote Finish

Cerakote is a ceramic coating baked onto the metal. It is harder than anodizing and far more corrosion resistant than parkerizing, which matters on a rifle that gets carried rather than cased.

Moss green also hides the handling wear that shows immediately on a black rifle, and it makes this configuration easy to identify in a safe full of similar carbines.

Stock, Grip and Fit

A Magpul SL-K stock adjusts for length of pull, so the Sig Sauer M400 Forge Moss Green fits a shooter in shirtsleeves and the same shooter in a plate carrier without swapping parts.

The continuous top rail keeps the included optic in plane with a magnifier or a night vision device if either gets added later.
