The RPM Diving Board 35mm High Black (RPM part 35-HRC) is a replacement top cap for RPM 35mm scope rings and cantilever mounts that adds a short Picatinny rail above your scope. It lets you mount a rail-mounted laser rangefinder or a secondary red dot right on top of your magnified optic, finished in black.

RPM Diving Board 35mm High Black Overview

Ruff’s Precision Manufacturing designs its mounts to be compact and light while working with as many optic and accessory combinations as possible. The Diving Board simply replaces the existing top cap on one ring, so there is no extra clamp, no extra mount and nothing hanging off the side of the rifle. It fits all RPM CLR series rings and all RPM Bravo and Delta cantilever mounts in the matching tube size.

Why 35mm

Thirty-five millimeter tubes appear on many high-end precision scopes, and this version lets those optics carry a red dot or rangefinder without a separate mount. Make sure your RPM ring or cantilever is the 35mm version; RPM also makes the Diving Board in 30mm and 34mm.

Choosing High Height

The high version raises the rail enough to clear tall elevation turrets and is the height RPM specifies for rail-mounted laser rangefinders. It also works for a red dot when your scope turret would block a lower sight picture.

Common Uses

Typical setups include a compact laser rangefinder that rides above the scope for instant distance readings, or a micro red dot that must clear a tall exposed turret. Because the rail rides on the scope ring itself, the accessory stays aligned with the optic and moves with it if you remove the scope.

Matching a Black Build

Black is the classic choice for most scopes, rings and rifles, and it hides wear well on a rifle that sees hard use. The black cap matches RPM black CLR rings and cantilevers, as well as nearly every scope finish on the market, so it disappears into the setup instead of drawing attention.

Installation

Remove the existing top cap from one ring and install the Diving Board in its place using the original cap screws from your RPM mount; screws are not included. Tighten evenly in a crisscross pattern to RPM torque specification, then mount your accessory on the rail and zero it separately from the scope.

Construction

The cap is machined in Flagstaff, Arizona from 6061-T6 aluminum and finished with a Type III hard anodized coating.

Honest Limitations

This cap fits RPM mounts only and only the 35mm size. It requires the cap screws from your existing RPM mount. A top-mounted accessory adds height and a little weight above the scope, so check turret and accessory clearance before buying.
