Description
The Tisas Regent BR9 Sport QPQ 9mm is the hard-use version of the Regent: a black salt-bath nitrided steel pistol with G10 grip panels on the classic Hi-Power pattern.

Tisas Regent BR9 Sport QPQ 9mm Overview
Tisas makes the Regent BR9 in Turkey on the time-tested Hi-Power design. The Sport model has a steel frame and slide, a 4.67-inch barrel with a 1-in-10 twist, a 7.87-inch overall length, a weight around 31.7 ounces and a 15+1 capacity. It carries a thumb safety and dovetailed white-dot front and serrated rear sights.
Black QPQ Finish
The finish is a black QPQ salt-bath nitride treatment that hardens the surface of the steel and resists corrosion and wear better than traditional bluing. It is a good choice for a pistol that will see holster time or wet weather.
G10 Grips
The G10 panels give a secure hold and are nearly impervious to oil and solvents. The texture is aggressive, which helps control but can rub during carry.
Operation
Like all Hi-Power pattern pistols, the Regent is single action and carried cocked and locked. Train with the thumb safety on every presentation. The steel construction keeps recoil manageable and follow-up shots quick.
Magazines and Accessories
Zanders lists two 15-round magazines; Lipsey’s lists one. Buy a spare and test any Hi-Power pattern magazine before relying on it. Many Hi-Power holsters fit, but confirm with your specific model.
Value
The Regent Sport delivers modern grips and a durable finish on a classic platform at a price well below an original Browning. Expect lower resale value and more limited factory support.
Break-In and Care
Lubricate the slide rails well for the first few hundred rounds and field strip the gun after each session. The nitrided surface is tough, but it still needs a light coat of oil if the pistol will be stored for a long time or exposed to humidity.
Ammunition
The Regent is built for standard-pressure 9mm Luger. Practice with brass-cased range ammunition and test your defensive hollow point before carrying it. Avoid overpressure +P+ loads.
Choosing Between Regent Models
The standard Regent pairs wood grips with black or nickel finishes, while the Sport trims add G10 panels. This black nitrided Sport is the most practical of the four for regular carry or hard range use, since the finish and grips both shrug off sweat, oil and handling better than wood or nickel.
State Laws and Ownership
A 15-round magazine is over the limit in California, New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Illinois, Washington and other states with 10-round caps, and some states require roster approval for new handgun models. Check your state and local laws before ordering.

Before You Buy
Federal law requires handgun buyers to be at least 21 years old to purchase from a licensed dealer, and every pistol we sell ships to a local FFL for a background check and transfer. Hi-Power pattern pistols can bite the web of the hand on some shooters; test your grip before a long range session.
