Description
The Tisas PX-9 Duty FDE Threaded 9mm is the Gen3 duty pistol finished in Flat Dark Earth with a longer 4.6-inch threaded barrel. It is aimed at owners who want a suppressor host or compensator-ready pistol in an earth-tone finish.

Tisas PX-9 Duty FDE Threaded 9mm Overview
Tisas, the Turkish maker behind the Regent and its 1911 lines, builds the PX-9 as a value-priced striker pistol. The Gen3 Duty threaded model adds a barrel extended to 4.6 inches and threaded 1/2×28, the common 9mm pitch. Overall length is about 7.7 inches and weight about 1 pound 8 ounces. Distributor data lists a fiber optic front sight, serrated rear, RMR-footprint cut, interchangeable grip panels, an included holster and two magazines holding 18 and 20 rounds.
Threaded Barrel Uses
The 1/2×28 threads accept most 9mm muzzle devices: compensators, flash hiders and suppressor mounts. Keep the thread protector installed when nothing is mounted so the threads stay clean and undamaged. A suppressor is an NFA item: you need an approved ATF Form 4, a tax stamp and a state where suppressors are legal before you buy one. Suppressor height may block the factory sights, so plan on a red dot or taller sights.

FDE Finish
The slide wears a Flat Dark Earth Cerakote finish that matches the frame color. Cerakote is a thin ceramic-based coating that resists corrosion and wear well, but holster rub will show eventually on the muzzle and slide edges, which is normal and cosmetic.
Optics-Ready
The RMR-footprint cut takes common reflex sights. Pairing a dot with a suppressor or comp is the most popular way owners set this pistol up. Use correct-length screws and thread locker.

Capacity
Eighteen and twenty rounds give this pistol plenty of capacity for range sessions and home defense. Spare magazines are less common than for mainstream brands, so stock up when available.
Holster and Carry
A holster is included, but threaded barrels need an open-bottom holster, and FDE-specific holster colors are mostly cosmetic. At almost eight inches long, this is more of a duty or home pistol than a deep-concealment gun.
Break-In and Care
Plan on a break-in of a few hundred rounds with full-power brass-cased ammunition. If you shoot suppressed, expect much more carbon in the slide and frame; clean after every suppressed session and keep the threads clean so the mount seats squarely. Check that the muzzle device you choose is rated for 9mm and centered on the bore before firing.
Choosing Between PX-9 Models
The threaded duty model sits between the carry and tactical sizes. Pick it if you want a muzzle device or suppressor host that still fits a standard duty holster footprint, and choose an unthreaded model if you never plan to add anything to the muzzle.
State Laws and Ownership
Some states restrict threaded barrels on semi-automatic pistols and many cap magazines at 10 or 15 rounds, including California, New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Illinois, Washington and Colorado. Check state and local law before ordering.
