Browning X-Bolt 2 Speed Spr 300 PRC 22 Overview
The X-Bolt 2 is the second generation of the Browning X-Bolt, keeping the proven 60 degree bolt lift and detachable rotary magazine while adding the DLX trigger and refined stock ergonomics. This version is the X-Bolt 2 Speed SPR Mossy Oak Bottomland.
Barrel and Accuracy
The 22 inch barrel has a sporter sr contour and a 1 in 8 inch twist, with a 5/8 – 24 SR threaded muzzle. The free floated barrel and solid bedding help it shoot consistent groups.
Action and Trigger
The 60 degree bolt lift clears a low mounted scope, and the bolt unlock button lets you unload with the safety on. The DLX trigger breaks crisply with little take up.
Stock and Fit
The composite stock has a mossy oak bottomland finish. Browning lists a 13 3/4 Adj inch length of pull and a Inflex 1.25 recoil pad.
Key Features
Browning highlights these features: receiver features additional bolt guidance surface area for smoother operation; patent-pending adjustable DLX Trigger set to hunting weights; the action is bedded at the recoil lug and action screws for stability and to free-float the barrel; easy to reach top-tang safety; short 60° bolt lift is fast cycling and clears large optics; x-Lock Scope Mounting System uses four screws per base for rock-solid attachment to the receiver.
The 300 PRC
The 300 PRC is a proven hunting cartridge. Match your bullet weight and construction to the game you hunt, and practice at the distances you expect to shoot.
Deer Hunting and More
This rifle is well suited to deer hunting and, depending on caliber, to hogs, pronghorn, elk and other game. Mount a quality scope and confirm your zero before the season.
Buying Tips
Before you buy, pick the caliber that fits the game and distances you hunt, and budget for a quality scope, rings and ammo. Sight in at 100 yards, then confirm your drop at the longest distance you plan to shoot, and practice from field positions like sitting and kneeling.
Care and Value
Wipe the metal down after wet hunts, clean the bore regularly and store the rifle in a dry place. Browning rifles hold their value well.
State Laws
Rifles are legal to own in every state, though some limit semi-auto rifles, magazine capacity and hunting calibers. Pennsylvania buyers can transfer at our Collegeville shop or at any FFL.
