Description
The Springfield Hellcat Pro Comp Gear Pac 17 is a pistol chambered in 9mm Luger with a 3.7-inch barrel and a 17+1 capacity. It carries the build quality Springfield Armory is known for and is ready for carry, home defense, or the range.
Springfield Hellcat Pro Comp Gear Pac 17 Overview
The Hellcat line set a new standard for micro-compact carry pistols, packing high capacity into a small frame without giving up shootability. Its Adaptive Grip Texture locks the pistol into your hand, the U-Dot sights give a fast sight picture, and the OSP (Optical Sight Pistol) slide is milled for a micro red dot. The Hellcat Pro stretches the grip and slide slightly for more capacity and a longer sight radius, and Comp models add an integrated compensator to tame muzzle rise.
Carry and Use
The Hellcat is built to disappear inside the waistband while still shooting like a larger pistol. The grip texture keeps the gun planted during recoil, and the controls are easy to reach without shifting your hand.
Trigger and Controls
The striker-fired trigger has a flat face, a smooth take-up, and a crisp break with a short, audible reset. The slide release and magazine release are easy to reach, and the slide serrations front and rear give you plenty of grip for press checks and malfunction clearing.
Sights and Optics
The slide is cut for a red dot optic, so you can add one whenever you are ready. Until then, the factory sights give you a clear, familiar sight picture.
Caliber
The 9mm Luger is the most popular handgun cartridge in the world. It offers manageable recoil, high magazine capacity, and a huge selection of affordable practice and defensive ammunition, which is why most police departments and the U.S. military carry it.

Ownership Tips
Read the owner’s manual fully before your first range trip, and keep the manual, box, and receipt with your records, since they make warranty service and any future resale easier. Practice safe handling at home with an unloaded pistol, and store it securely in a quality safe or with a lock when it is not in use.
Care and Cleaning
Cleaning is straightforward. Unload the pistol, field-strip it according to the manual, clean the bore with a brush and patches, wipe carbon from the slide rails and breech face, and apply a light coat of quality gun oil to the contact points. Wipe the exterior with a lightly oiled cloth before storage, and keep the optic lens clean and its mounting screws snug.
