Citadel BOSS25 12ga 20 Colored Overview
The BOSS25 is a Citadel semi-auto shotgun. It cycles itself for fast follow up shots and softer felt recoil than a pump.
Action and Controls
The BOSS25 is a semi-auto shotgun.
Barrel and Chokes
The 20 inch barrel.
Stock and Fit
The stock is synthetic with a black finish. Check the length of pull against your own fit, especially if you shoot in heavy clothing. Metal surfaces wear Colored.
Size and Handling
Overall length is 39.75″. Mount the gun the same way every time and let your eyes lead the muzzle to the target.
Ammo and Practice
Use target loads for clays, the right shot size for the birds you hunt, and buckshot or slugs only where they fit the job. Pattern the gun with each load at the distances you expect to shoot.
The 12 gauge
The 12 gauge is the most versatile shotgun gauge, handling everything from light target loads to heavy waterfowl, turkey and defense loads.
Upland Birds and Waterfowl
This shotgun suits upland birds, doves and waterfowl, and it works fine for a round of clays. Federal law requires nontoxic shot for waterfowl.
Accessories
A sling, a case, extra choke tubes and a good recoil pad make a shotgun easier to live with. Hunters should add shell carriers and blaze orange or camo gear as the season requires.
Buying Tips
Pattern your gun with each choke and load you plan to use, and check that the length of pull fits you.
Care and Value
Clean the bore and action after each range trip or hunt, keep moving parts lightly oiled and wipe the finish after handling. A well kept Citadel holds its value.
State Laws
Some states limit semi-auto features, magazine capacity and hunting calibers. Check your local law before you buy. Pennsylvania buyers can transfer at our Collegeville shop or at any FFL.
Ordering and Transfer
When you order a firearm from MAG5 Firearms, we ship it to the licensed dealer you choose. Your dealer completes the ATF Form 4473 and the background check, and may charge a transfer fee. Local buyers can complete the transfer at our shop. Bring a valid ID, and check your state waiting period before you plan a hunt or a range trip.
Safe Storage
Store the firearm unloaded in a locked safe or case, with ammunition kept separately. A cable lock or trigger lock is a good backup, especially in a home with children or visitors. Keep the original box and paperwork, and record the serial number in a safe place in case the gun is ever lost or stolen.
Your First Range Trip
Start with light target loads to learn how the gun mounts and swings. Shoot a few rounds of each load you plan to hunt with, and pattern the gun on paper at 25 and 40 yards. Wear eye and ear protection, keep the muzzle in a safe direction, and clean the barrel and action when you get home.
