Description

The Black Rain Ordnance BRO-22 Deluxe is a billet machined .22 Long Rifle built to a standard that rimfires rarely see. A 16 inch threaded stainless barrel, a CNC machined billet receiver and a Boyds Agility laminate stock in Shady Camo put it well above the mass produced rimfire market.
Billet, Not Cast
Black Rain machines the receiver and the trigger housing from billet rather than casting or stamping them. That is a meaningful difference on a .22: tighter tolerances mean a more consistent lockup, and a machined trigger housing holds its geometry in a way a stamped one does not.
Black Rain built its reputation on billet AR receivers, and the same CNC work goes into these rimfires. The finish is durable without being flashy, which suits a rifle that is meant to be used rather than admired.
Black Rain Ordnance BRO-22 Deluxe Barrel
The barrel is 16 inches of matte stainless steel, threaded at the muzzle. A .22 suppressor on a 16 inch barrel produces some of the quietest shooting available anywhere, and threading it from the factory means one less trip to a gunsmith.
Stainless matters more on a rimfire than people expect. Rimfire ammunition is dirty and often waxy, and a stainless bore takes that abuse and cleans up far more easily than a blued one.
Stock and Receiver
The stock is a Boyds Agility in Shady Camo laminate, an aggressive modern sporter shape with a vertical grip and an adjustable comb style profile. Laminate is heavier than a plain hardwood stock but far more stable through humidity swings, which is why target shooters favour it.
The receiver carries an accessory rail on top, so any rimfire scope or red dot mounts directly without an adapter. Capacity is 10+1 from a detachable magazine.
Suppressor Use
Because the muzzle is threaded from the factory, a rimfire can screws straight on. Subsonic .22 ammunition through a suppressed 16 inch barrel is quiet enough for pest control close to buildings, and it makes the rifle far more pleasant to shoot without hearing protection at a private range. Expect a suppressed semi-auto rimfire to run dirtier than usual, so plan on cleaning the bolt and chamber more often.

Ammunition and Accuracy
Semi-automatic rimfires want copper plated high velocity ammunition rather than the cheapest bulk lead round nose. CCI Mini-Mag, Federal Automatch and similar loads cycle consistently and group noticeably tighter, and on a rifle machined to this standard the difference is obvious on paper.
Why Buyers Choose the Black Rain Ordnance BRO-22 Deluxe
The Black Rain Ordnance BRO-22 Deluxe is what you buy when the usual rimfires feel like toys. Billet receiver, stainless threaded barrel and a laminate target stock are all things most .22 owners end up adding aftermarket, and here they come fitted and matched.
Who Should Buy It
Rimfire target shooters, suppressor owners looking for a quiet host, and small game and pest hunters who want a .22 accurate enough to justify a good scope. It also makes an excellent rifle to teach on, because it shoots well enough that misses are the shooter’s fault.
Be realistic about the limits. Laminate stocks add weight, this costs considerably more than a basic .22, and no optic or sights are included. Ten rounds is the magazine capacity as supplied.
