Angstadt Arms designed the UDP-9 from the ground up as a dedicated 9mm platform rather than a converted AR-15. The lower receiver is machined from 7075-T6 billet aluminum and finished in matte black hard coat anodizing. It has a flared magwell for faster reloads, an integrated oversized trigger guard and true last round bolt hold open on an empty magazine. The matching 7075-T6 billet slick side upper has a properly sized ejection port and no forward assist or dust cover, which keeps the profile clean.
The 6 inch chrome moly barrel has a 1:10 twist and a black melonite finish, and the threaded muzzle wears an A2 style flash suppressor and is ready for a suppressor. 5 inch free float M-LOK handguard with a seven-sided design gives 45 degree offset mounting options, and a continuous Picatinny top rail gives plenty of room for an optic. A Magpul K2 grip and the SBA3 five-position brace finish the build. Overall length is about 22 inches and weight is about 5 pounds.

Running GLOCK magazines means the UDP-9 can share mags with a GLOCK 17 or 19 sidearm, and magazines are easy to find in many capacities. The flared magwell makes reloads quick, and the bolt locks back on the last round so you know when it is time to reload.
