Description
The Browning Buck Mark Pro Red Dot Sight is a compact tube style red dot that Browning built for its Buck Mark pistols and rifles, and that is also rated and tested for use on centerfire rifles and shotguns. It comes with a low Picatinny mount and removable flip-up lens covers, so it is ready to go on the gun right out of the box.

Browning Buck Mark Pro Red Dot Sight Overview
Browning catalogs this sight as part 1290235. It uses a solid one piece 6061-T6 aluminum body with a flexible armor coating that helps it shrug off bumps. The tube is nitrogen purged and O-ring sealed to stop internal fogging, and it carries an IPX7 waterproof rating. The sight is about 3.25 inches long, 2 inches tall and 1.25 inches wide, and it weighs about 6.6 ounces. The base uses the popular Aimpoint Micro style pattern, so it can also ride on many aftermarket Micro mounts.
3 MOA Dot and Brightness
The 3 MOA red dot is a good all around size for small game, plinking and target work. Browning lists 10 brightness levels in the feature list, with a memory that returns to the last setting when you turn the sight back on. Note: one section of the Browning page says three brightness settings while the feature list says 10, so we have flagged that difference here.

Battery
The sight runs on one CR2032 lithium battery, which is included. Browning lists battery life at about 240 hours on a medium setting, so turn it off after each session and keep a spare battery in your range bag.
Mounting
The included low mount fits Picatinny style rails. That puts the dot at a good height for a Buck Mark pistol or a rimfire rifle with a low scope rail. For an AR style rifle, a riser can lift the sight to a more natural height for your cheek weld on the stock.

Made for Hard Use
Browning designed the sight to handle heavy recoil, so it is not limited to 22 LR. Unlimited eye relief means you can mount it anywhere on the rail and still see the dot, and low profile controls keep the knobs from snagging when you carry the gun in a case or through brush.
What Comes in the Box
The package includes the sight, the low mounting base, the flip-up covers, a lens cloth and a CR2032 battery, all packed in a protective box for shipping and storage.
On a Buck Mark Pistol
A red dot turns the Buck Mark into an even better trainer and small game pistol. With a dot you can focus on the target with both eyes open, which helps new shooters learn fast and lets experienced shooters stretch the range on steel and small targets. Most Buck Mark pistols with a top rail accept this sight with the included base.
Zeroing Tips
Most rifle and shotgun shooters zero a red dot at 50 or 100 yards, depending on the gun and how it will be used. Start at about 25 yards to get on paper, then move back and fine tune. Fire small groups before each change, and confirm zero with the ammunition you plan to use.
Battery Care
Replace the battery once a year on a defensive gun, even if the dot still looks fine, and keep a spare in your range bag. Wipe the lens with a soft cloth or lens pen, not a shirt tail, to keep the coatings clean. If the dot seems dim or flickers, check the battery and contacts first.
