Description
The Federal 6mm ARC 110gr TMJ load is built for shooters who want more from their 6mm ARC than typical factory ammunition delivers. Federal loads a 110 grain total metal jacket to a rated 2550 feet per second, producing about 1588 foot-pounds of energy. The total metal jacket fully encloses the lead core, reducing lead exposure at indoor ranges and keeping the bullet clean-feeding in semi-automatic rifles.
Why Choose the Federal 6mm ARC 110gr TMJ
- 110 grain total metal jacket bullet
- Rated 2550 fps and 1588 ft-lbs
- Brass cases with reliable primers
- Fully enclosed jacket reduces airborne lead
- 20 rounds per box, item AE6ARC1
Built for Training and Practice
- Affordable load for regular range practice
- Reliable feeding and ignition
- Consistent velocities for repeatable practice
- Quality brass cases
Buying ammunition by the box from the same production lot keeps velocity and point of impact consistent from one range trip to the next. Keep a record of the load you carry, check your ammunition for dents or loose bullets from time to time, and rotate your carry rounds so the ones in your firearm stay fresh. These simple habits help you get the full performance Federal builds into every cartridge.
Before you trust any new load, fire enough rounds through your firearm to confirm it feeds, fires and ejects reliably and that the point of impact matches your sights. Full-power loads produce more recoil and muzzle blast than typical range ammo, so practice with the Federal 6mm ARC 110gr TMJ until you are comfortable with it, and store the rest in a cool, dry place in the original box.
The 6mm ARC, short for Advanced Rifle Cartridge, was introduced by Hornady in 2020 and was developed with input from the US military. It fits the standard AR-15 magazine well while firing long, high ballistic coefficient 6mm bullets that stay supersonic well past 1000 yards, giving AR-15 owners long-range capability with light recoil.
