Description
The Swampfox Liberator II Green Dot is a compact rifle red dot with a 2 MOA green dot. The Liberator II is a compact tube style red dot for AR-15s, shotguns and pistol caliber carbines.

Swampfox Liberator II Green Dot Overview
Swampfox lists the Liberator II at about 3.5 oz without a mount and about 2.55 x 1.68 x 1.62 in. The 22mm lens is multi-coated, the chassis is 6061-T5 aluminum, and windage and elevation adjust in 1 MOA clicks with about 90 MOA of total travel. The lens has anti-fog, hydrophobic and anti-scratch coatings, and the sight is parallax free at typical shooting distances.
The Reticle
The 2 MOA green dot gives you a fine aiming point for precise shots at distance while staying quick to find up close. Green often looks brighter to the eye in daylight than red at the same setting, and many shooters with some red color weakness see it more easily.

Power and Brightness
Ten illumination positions include 2 for night vision and 8 for daylight. Swampfox rates battery life at up to about 10,000 hours with typical use, and Shake N Wake turns the sight off when it sits still and back on when it moves.
Mounting
The Liberator II uses the T2 footprint, and Swampfox includes both a low profile and an absolute co-witness Picatinny mount, so it can go on a shotgun rib height or a flat top AR.
Built Tough
Swampfox rates this sight IPX7 waterproof and tests it for hard recoil. The company backs its optics with a limited lifetime warranty, and many Swampfox sights carry extra coverage on the illumination. It is a lot of sight for the money.

Why a Green Dot
The human eye is most sensitive to green light, so a green dot often looks brighter and sharper than a red one at the same setting, especially in daylight. Many shooters with some red color weakness also find green easier to see. In very dark settings a dim red dot can be a little easier on night vision, so think about where you shoot most.
Zeroing Tips
Most rifle and shotgun shooters zero a red dot at 50 or 100 yards, depending on the gun and how it will be used. Start at about 25 yards to get on paper, then move back and fine tune. Fire small groups before each change, and confirm zero with the ammunition you plan to use.
Battery Care
Replace the battery once a year on a defensive gun, even if the dot still looks fine, and keep a spare in your range bag. Wipe the lens with a soft cloth or lens pen, not a shirt tail, to keep the coatings clean. If the dot seems dim or flickers, check the battery and contacts first.
Ordering and Transfer
When you order a firearm from MAG5 Firearms, we ship it to the licensed dealer you choose. Your dealer completes the ATF Form 4473 and the background check, and may charge a transfer fee. Local buyers can complete the transfer at our shop. Bring a valid ID, and check your state waiting period before you plan a hunt or a range trip.
