PMC Bronze 762×39 123gr FMJ – Rugged Rifle Ammo

Description

The PMC Bronze 762×39 123gr FMJ load, item 762A, is a 20 round box of 7.62x39mm ammunition from PMC, loaded with a 123 grain FMJ bullet.

PMC Bronze 762×39 123gr FMJ Overview

PMC Bronze is the company’s everyday line for target shooting, training and plinking. It is built to deliver consistent, reliable performance at a price that makes regular practice affordable, and it is loaded with new brass cases that are reloadable. Many shooters choose Bronze for range trips, qualification practice and simply getting more trigger time.

Bullet Design

The full metal jacket bullet has a copper alloy jacket wrapped around a lead core. It feeds smoothly, holds its shape on paper and steel targets, and leaves less lead fouling in the bore than exposed lead bullets.

Intended Use

Bronze is meant for practice, training, plinking and informal competition. Full metal jacket bullets feed reliably and keep the bore clean of exposed lead, which suits high-volume shooting.

Firearm Compatibility

This ammunition is made for rifles chambered in 7.62x39mm, such as AK pattern rifles, the SKS, the Ruger Mini-30 and AR-15 rifles built for the cartridge. Do not fire it in a firearm chambered for 7.62x51mm, 308 Winchester or 7.62x54R.

About PMC

PMC, short for Precision Made Cartridges, has built ammunition for decades and is based in Houston, Texas. Its lineup covers practice, training, match and hunting loads for handguns and rifles, with a focus on consistent, dependable performance at a fair price.

Recoil and Shootability

The 7.62x39mm has mild recoil in most rifles, which makes it pleasant for high-volume shooting and practice.

Choosing This Load

Bronze makes sense whenever you want to shoot more without spending more. It is a dependable choice for learning fundamentals, practicing drills, breaking in a new firearm and enjoying an afternoon of plinking. Many shooters keep a supply of Bronze on hand for practice and save premium loads for hunting or defense.

About the Cartridge

The 7.62x39mm was developed in the Soviet Union and made famous by the SKS and AK rifles. It is a short, mild-recoiling cartridge that remains popular for affordable plinking and practical shooting.

Brass Cases

PMC loads its centerfire ammunition in boxer-primed brass cases. Brass extracts reliably, resists corrosion and can be collected and reloaded by handloaders, which adds value to every box you shoot. Collect your fired cases at the range if you reload, and sort them by headstamp and caliber for easy processing later.

Range Safety

Always wear eye and ear protection, confirm the correct ammunition for your firearm before loading, and keep different calibers separated in your range bag. Treat every firearm as loaded, and know your target and what is beyond it.

Practice and Testing

Shoot a few groups with this load to learn where it prints in your firearm, and check function with full and partly loaded magazines. Keeping a consistent supply of the same load makes it easier to track your progress over time.

Storage and Care

Store ammunition in a cool, dry place in its original boxes, away from solvents and lubricants that can contaminate primers. Inspect rounds before loading, and set aside any with dents, loose bullets or corrosion.
