Barrett MRAD 308 Win Rifle

Description

Barrett MRAD 308 Win Bolt-Action Rifle

The Barrett MRAD 308 Win is a precision bolt-action rifle engineered for shooters who demand consistent accuracy at extended range. Built around Barrett’s modular chassis platform, this rifle pairs a fluted 17-inch barrel with a 1:10-inch twist rate to stabilize.308 Winchester ammunition through demanding conditions. The aluminum receiver keeps weight manageable at roughly 13.28 pounds while maintaining the rigidity needed for repeatable shot placement. A muzzle brake tames recoil and muzzle rise, letting shooters stay on target for faster follow-up shots during competition, tactical training, or long-range hunting.

Barrett designed this rifle around real-world adaptability. The stock folds for compact transport and storage without tools, while the adjustable length of pull lets shooters dial in a proper cheek weld and consistent eye relief regardless of body type or shooting position. An optics-ready receiver accepts a wide range of scope mounting solutions, so this platform suits precision rifle competitions, designated marksman roles, or extended-range hunting trips. The ambidextrous safety and match-grade trigger round out a rifle built to perform identically for right- and left-handed shooters, making it a versatile choice for competitive shooters and hunters alike.

Key Features and Benefits

The fluted 17-inch barrel is the heart of this rifle’s long-range performance, reducing weight while dissipating heat faster during extended strings of fire. Paired with a 1:10-inch twist rate, the barrel stabilizes a wide range of.308 Winchester loads, from lightweight varmint rounds to heavier match bullets favored by long-range competitors. The blued and black metal finish resists corrosion and wear, protecting the barrel and action through repeated range sessions and outdoor use. Combined with the integrated muzzle brake, felt recoil drops significantly, which helps shooters maintain sight picture through the shot and spot their own impacts at distance.

Adaptability defines the stock system on this rifle. The folding design shortens overall length for transport in backpacks or compact cases, without requiring any tools or losing zero when returned to the firing position. An adjustable length of pull accommodates shooters wearing body armor, heavy jackets, or standard range attire, ensuring a consistent cheek weld and stock weld shot after shot. The black polymer grip provides a secure, textured hold in wet or gloved conditions, while the overall 45-inch length keeps the rifle balanced and maneuverable in both open field positions and tighter shooting bays common to precision rifle matches.

Precision starts with the fire control group, and this rifle’s match-grade trigger delivers a crisp, consistent break that helps shooters execute fundamentals under pressure. The ambidextrous safety allows quick, intuitive manipulation for right- and left-handed shooters alike, an important detail for teams sharing equipment or switching shooting positions mid-course. Feeding from a detachable magazine with 10+1 capacity, the rifle offers enough onboard ammunition for extended strings of fire before a reload is needed. The aircraft-grade aluminum receiver ties the whole system together, providing a rigid, torsion-resistant platform that keeps the barrel and action in consistent alignment shot after shot, round after round.
