FN 510 MRD 10mm FDE No Safety – Powerful Optics Ready Pistol

Description

The FN 510 MRD 10mm FDE No Safety model is FN’s full size, optics ready striker fired pistol chambered in 10mm Auto. This flat dark earth version has no manual safety and ships with two 10 round magazines for buyers who need compliant capacity.

FN 510 MRD 10mm FDE No Safety Overview

The FN 510 was designed specifically around the powerful 10mm cartridge, with a slide and frame built to handle full power loads reliably. The MRD slide is cut to accept popular red dot optics, and suppressor height style iron sights allow co-witnessing. The FN 510 MRD 10mm FDE No Safety model has a textured polymer frame with interchangeable backstraps, an accessory rail for lights, ambidextrous slide stop levers and a reversible magazine release. A 4.7 inch cold hammer forged barrel provides accuracy and durability.

Why 10mm

10mm Auto offers more energy than 9mm or .40 S&W, which makes it popular for backcountry protection, hunting where legal and shooters who simply enjoy a powerful handgun. Recoil is stronger than 9mm, but the 510’s full size frame helps keep it controllable.

Optics Ready

The MRD cut accepts a wide range of red dots using included plates, giving faster target acquisition and better precision, especially at distance or in low light.

Compliant Capacity

This configuration includes 10 round magazines. Full capacity magazines are available where legal.

Practice and Training

Regular practice builds confidence and safe handling. Start at close range, focus on sight alignment and a smooth trigger press, and work back as your groups tighten. Dry fire with snap caps at home to improve your trigger control between range trips.

Choosing Ammunition

Try several brands and bullet weights to see what feeds reliably and groups best in your handgun. Use quality full metal jacket loads for practice and proven hollow points for defense, and confirm reliable function with your defensive load before carrying it.

Care and Maintenance

Clean the barrel, slide or cylinder and frame after shooting, apply a light coat of quality lubricant to moving parts, and store the handgun unloaded in a locked case or safe away from children.

Safe Storage

Store handguns unloaded in a locked safe, lockbox or with a cable lock, and keep ammunition separate when children are in the home. Quick access safes keep a defensive handgun secure but available. Teach everyone in the household basic firearm safety rules.
