FN Five-seveN 5.7×28 FDE California – Remarkable Pistol

Description

The FN Five-seveN 5.7×28 FDE California model is the iconic FN Five-seveN pistol in 5.7x28mm, configured for California with a flat dark earth finish, adjustable sights and three 10 round magazines.

FN Five-seveN 5.7×28 FDE California Overview

FN designed the Five-seveN around the high velocity 5.7x28mm cartridge, which pairs light bullets with very flat trajectory and low recoil. The pistol uses a lightweight polymer frame and a long, slim grip that remains comfortable even with its full size frame. The FN Five-seveN 5.7×28 FDE California model has adjustable sights for precise zeroing, an accessory rail for a light or laser, and ambidextrous manual safety and magazine release on the frame. Its single action trigger is light and crisp.

The 5.7x28mm Cartridge

5.7x28mm is fast, flat shooting and extremely soft recoiling. It is popular for fun range shooting, small game and pest control where legal, and as a low recoil defensive option. Ammunition costs more than 9mm and is less common on store shelves.

California Configuration

This model is built to meet California handgun requirements and ships with 10 round magazines. Check your local laws to confirm it meets your needs.

Adjustable Sights

Adjustable sights let you fine tune point of impact for your preferred load, taking advantage of the cartridge’s flat trajectory at longer pistol distances.

Practice and Training

Regular practice builds confidence and safe handling. Start at close range, focus on sight alignment and a smooth trigger press, and work back as your groups tighten. Dry fire with snap caps at home to improve your trigger control between range trips.

Choosing Ammunition

Try several brands and bullet weights to see what feeds reliably and groups best in your handgun. Use quality full metal jacket loads for practice and proven hollow points for defense, and confirm reliable function with your defensive load before carrying it.

Care and Maintenance

Clean the barrel, slide or cylinder and frame after shooting, apply a light coat of quality lubricant to moving parts, and store the handgun unloaded in a locked case or safe away from children.

Safe Storage

Store handguns unloaded in a locked safe, lockbox or with a cable lock, and keep ammunition separate when children are in the home. Quick access safes keep a defensive handgun secure but available. Teach everyone in the household basic firearm safety rules.

Ordering From MAG5

Choose your local FFL dealer at checkout and we ship directly to them. Once the firearm arrives, your dealer runs the background check and completes the transfer paperwork. Most dealers charge a modest transfer fee, so ask about it before you order.
